The Kano State Hisbah Board has denied arresting 78 youngsters for allegedly engaging in same sex marriages at the White House Restaurant in Nasarawa GRA, Kano. The Police Command in Nasarawa State says it has begun investigation into the killing of a student of Nasarawa State University Keffi, (NSUK), Michael Elechi. A US patient is believed to be the third person in the world, and first woman, to be cured of HIV. The patient was being treated for leukaemia when she received a stem cell transplant from someone with natural resistance to the Aids-causing virus. A group in Osun State, the Concerned Citizens of Osun, has claimed that the State Government paid a sum of N1m to the leadership of National Association of Osun State Students to protest against the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in the state.
