The government of Oyo on Wednesday said it did not seal the offices of the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company over its disconnection of the government secretariat. In a statement by the Oyo State Internal Revenue Service, the government explained that the company itself is owing N400m in revenue. The House of Representatives has urged the Ministry of Petroleum Resources to probe the cause of the recent oil vessel explosion in Delta. This followed the adoption of a motion by Rep. Julius Pondi (PDP-Delta) at Wednesday’s plenary in in Abuja. The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has confirmed the sale of adulterated Premium Motor Spirit, otherwise called petrol, in some service outlets in the South-East. The management of the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company has accused Governor Seyi Makinde of sealing its office as a retaliation for the disconnection of the power at the Government buildings.
