The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) on Wednesday said Nigeria currently has 20 days sufficiency of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS). The agency said there is no need for panic buying by the public. His assurance became germane after long queues appeared in major Nigerian cities including Abuja and Lagos. Embattled former Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Dibu Ojerinde, on Tuesday, requested for plea bargaining in the N5bn fraud charges brought against him by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission. The Presidential Enabling Business Environmental Council on Tuesday in Abuja launched an application “reportgov.ng” at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA) to promote security and safety. Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, the Special Adviser to the President on Ease of Doing Business said the software would enable airport users to share their experiences within the airport. The National Universities Commission has given the nod to Lagos State Government to commence the operation of two new state universities in the state. The new institutions are the Lagos State University of Education (LASUED), Ijanikin and Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUST), Ikorodu. The approval is coming 39 years after the first State-owned University, Lagos State University was established. The second driver to the Edo state Chairman of the Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, Alhaji Abdul-Hamid Egele, has died. The first driver had died when Egele was attacked on Monday night. Command’s Spokesman, SP Kontongs Bello, while confirming the death said that the second driver died as a result of the serious bullet injuries he suffered during the attack. An official of the Anambra Traffic Management Agency (ATMA) was on Tuesday in Awka, shot by yet to be identified gunmen. DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, Police Public Relations Officer, Anambra, in a statement confirmed the incident and identified the victim as one Mr Chinedu Onwuka.
