The Academic Staff Union of Universities extended its ongoing strike by eight weeks as the Federal Government failed to satisfactorily address all the issues raised in the 2020 FGN/ASUU Memorandum of Action within the four-week warning strike. There is tension in Lagos state as five communities in Badagry, on Monday went on protest at the premises of the local government secretariat over alleged encroachment on their land by the Nigerian Army.
