At least, one person has died while five others were injured after a car rammed into a shop at Alagbado area of the state on Sunday. The Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos Command, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, confirmed this in a statement on Sunday. Father of Nigeria’s Minister of State for Labour and Productivity, Festus Keyamo has died. A statement by the family indicated that Pa Mathias Keyamo died at the age of 83 in Delta State. Three days after he was celebrated for his 80th birthday, legendary sports journalist Mr. Fabio Lanipekun died on Sunday. Details of the death of the ace sports commentator were still sketchy at press time, it was learnt that Lanipekun died in his residence at Magodo area of Lagos. Many Nigerian journalists most of them sports had celebrated Lanipekun on Thursday. Russia is striking civilian targets in Ukraine, including hospitals, nurseries, and schools, the Ukrainian deputy prime minister has said. Olha Stefanishyna told the BBC that, after “strong resistance” from the Ukrainian army, there was an “enormous operation” by Russia against civilians. The Corps Commander, Lagos Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mr. Olusegun Ogungbemide, has said that the command intercepted 1,291 commercial vehicles for operating without speed limiting device. Ogungbemide who said this in an interview added that 611 vehicles were arrested in January while 680 were arrested in February.
