- Mocks Zamfara Governor
Notorious bandit leader Kachalla Sani Yellow has resurfaced in a video circulating online, denying reports of his death and mocking Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal over claims that he was killed during a security operation.
In the video, Sani Yellow, who was previously reported dead following an operation in Anka Local Government Area, was seen seated on a motorcycle while addressing the governor in Hausa.
Earlier reports had claimed that he was killed during a joint operation by security forces and local vigilantes in Anka Local Government Area on July 10, 2026, at Dan Jibga Market.
The bandit leader challenged the governor over reports of his death, insisting he was alive and dismissing the claims as false.
“Greetings to you, the Governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal. You said you killed Alhaji Sani Yellow? But this is Sani Yellow.
“You can see him sitting on his motorbike. Can you see him? Alhaji Sani Yellow has entered the town. You idiot.” he said.
Sani Yellow also accused the Zamfara State government of failing to tackle armed criminal groups terrorising communities across the state, urging the governor to focus on combating banditry instead of targeting innocent residents.
He further claimed that those informing the governor of his death had misled him and insisted he remained alive.
Sani Yellow is regarded as one of the most wanted bandit leaders operating in Zamfara and parts of Nigeria’s North-West.
He has also been linked to numerous attacks on rural communities, mass kidnappings for ransom, cattle rustling, killings and the imposition of illegal levies in areas under the control of armed groups.
