A section of the Lagos Blue Line track has been gutted by fire.
According to information gathered by NPO Reports, the incident occurred around 4:12pm on Saturday.
It was disclosed that it broke out at a spot opposite the NEPA Station, near the Eko Bridge, in the Apogbon area of Lagos State.
The State Governor’s spokesperson, Mr Gboyega Akosile, made this known in an X post.
He confirmed that no casualties were reported and that there was no train service at the time of the incident.
Meanwhile, emergency responders had swiftly swung into action to contain the fire.
“Lagosians in that axis can go about their business peacefully as the situation under control.
“Kindly await further details on operations of the train from @Lamataonline.” He said
