Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has officially declared interest in the 2027 Presidential Election.
Makinde ended the speculations surrounding his next move at the completion of his eight years tenure as Oyo governor as he announced plan to contest for the presidential seat.
The governor made the declaration at the political rally tagged Unity Mega Rally in Ibadan on Thursday.
He disclosed that he will be contesting under the flagship of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in alliance with the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).
“I, Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, Excellency, announced my candidacy for the position of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria under the PDP-APM alliance.” Makinde declared.
