No fewer than 13 people, including three pregnant women have been killed with several others injured in a fresh attack on Plateau community by suspect gunmen.
The assailants reportedly stormed the Ngbra Zongo community in Kwall District of Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau state around midnight on Friday while residents were asleep.
According to reports, a resident of the area, Mr. Philip Alanga, told journalists in Jos that the assailants invaded the community and opened fire indiscriminately, causing panic among residents who fled for safety.
“They came into the community and started shooting. They moved from one house to another attacking innocent people,” Alanga said.
Meanwhile, another resident, Mr Chigoji Rocku, revealed that three of the victims killed in the assault were pregnant women.
No official statement has been issued to confirm the attack as at the time of filing this report.
