Nollywood actor, Charles Okocha, has emerged winner of the celebrity boxing rematch against controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, after the latter got disqualified.
The duo had on Friday night squared up against eachother at the Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos.
Portable who had in his last outing suffered defeat and lost his celebrity boxing title to content creator, Carter Efe, had hoped to redeem himself against Charles Okocha who he defeated in their first meeting on the ring.
The singer’s hope would however be dashed as he got disqualified in the opening round.
The bout descended into chaos as both men grappled in the ring before security intervened.
Video shared on X showed Portable pinning Charles Okocha to the ground in the grapple.
Efforts by the referee to free both men proved abortive, forcing the officials to ring the bell.
Portable, in annoyance, walked out of the ring which further affirmed his disqualification and gifted Charles Okocha the win.
The singer later returned to protest the decision, insisting he had won, but officials upheld the result, while Okocha celebrated and challenged Carter Efe to another celebrity boxing match.
