Singer, David Adeleke, popularly called Davido, has asked his uncle, Governor Demola Adeleke, to halt the mission to help a street hawker, Eniola who is physically challenged after the discovery that she is a man.
The lady, who claimed to be a make up artist, had gone viral at the beginning of the week after a skit maker, Brain Jotter, spotted her hawking water on the road.
Moved by her physical appearance, Brain Jotter had gifted Eniola a sum of N400,000 which he transferred to her account.
He had made a video asking those who are physically challenged to find something good doing instead of begging.
After the video went viral, many people had indicated interests to help lift her out of poverty.
Governor Adeleke had said that he had instructed his aides to look for Eniola with a view to helping her. This was also as Davido signified intention to help her asking for whoever could locate the lady.
However, things appeared to be turning awry as those who allegedly know Eniola have come out to say she is a scammer, using her condition to gain undue advantage.
Late Wednesday, an Instagram user, @CakebyIfe, had posted on her insta story how she helped raised a sum of N600,000 to get Eniola an apartment in the Ketu area of Lagos.
She said she had stood as guarrantor for the rent while seeking other ways to help her.
She said she had to pull out after discovering that Eniola is actually a boy and not a girl as she disguises.
Reacting to the discovery, Davido had taken to his X handle on Thursday to ask his Uncle to stay action over the latest information about Eniola.
“Excellency dem job us !! Dem say nah man ABORT MISSION,” he wrote
