Moses Jitboh, the former Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to ex-president, Goodluck Jonathan has passed away at the age of 54.
NPO reports that he died in the early hours of Friday following a brief illness.
Jitoboh served as the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Department of Information & Communications Technology (ICT), Force Headquarters, before his retirement in 2023.
He also served as Jonathan’s ADC during his tenure as governor of Bayelsa State and continued in the role when Jonathan became Vice President and later President of Nigeria
Following Jonathan’s loss in the 2015 presidential election, Jituboh returned to regular police duties, where he rose through the ranks and was, at one point, considered for the position of Inspector General of Police.
The Nigeria Police force has in a statement signed by its Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, commiserated with the family of the deceased and prayed that the souls of the departed rests in peace.
Similarly, the police also mourned retired AIG Bola Longe, who passed on Sunday 22nd Dcember.
He served as the CP Nasarawa State, and as the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Federal Operations, Force Headquarters Abuja, before his retirement in 2021.

The passing of these officers is a great loss, not only to their families but to the entire Nigeria Police Force.
