Nigerian human rights activist and social media influencer, Isaac Fayose, has called out the former Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, over the collapse of the Ekiti State Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport’s Warehouse barely three years after its construction.
Fayose in a video shared on his Instagram handle on Sunday accused Sirika of building substandard warehouse which allegedly cost N1 billion at the airport.
The activist disclosed that the warehouse was blown away by wind.
As captured in the video, the detached roofing sheets of the warehouse litred around the area where the warehouse was built.
All that could be seen left of the structure itself was its entangled skeletal frameworks with outgrown weeds.
Reacting in the video, a visibly enraged Fayose called for the arrest of Sirika who he labelled thief.
“Former Minister of Aviation you be thief. See the warehouse wey you build for Ekiti, he don collapse.
Look at substandard job wey you do as warehouse.” He said.
The activist further called for the arrest of the ex-Aviation Minister.
“Former minister of Aviation suppose dey jail 😡😡 See 1 billion naira warehouse in Ekiti gone just like that.” He added.
Recall that Sirika had in October 2022 inaugurated the Ekiti airport during the administration of the former governor of the state, Kayode Fayemi.
Sirika was on board the first aircraft, ATR 42 Nigeria Air Force plane piloted by E.A. Balogun, a flight lieutenant, to land at the airport.
