Not fewer than three houses were reportedly gutted by fire outbreak on Tuesday morning in the Ebute Metta area of Lagos State.
It was gathered that the inferno started in one of the buildings on Ibadan Street Off Cemetery Road some minutes before 9a.m but later got escalated to two other buildings
According to the eyewitness who narrated the incident said Lagos Fire Service was contacted at about 9:05am but arrived little bit late
“I called the Lagos Fire Service at about 9:05 a.m. They arrived about 40 minutes later, which was a bit late.
“The crowd and traffic too did not help matters because the police, led by the DPO, had to first make way for them”, the eyewitness said.
Emergency responders but have been able to contain the situation but no one can ascertain the loses recorded as a result of the Inferno.
