Afrobeat singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed being present during the telephone conversation between President Bola Tinubu and Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, over the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s, EFCC, directive freezing the state government’s account.
Davido made this known hours after Tinubu directed the EFCC to lift the order freezing the account.
The President had in a personal statement issued on Thursday expressed his disappointment with the anti-graft agency’s action which he considered to be ill-timed as a result of the forthcoming governorship election slated to hold on the 15th of August in Osun.
Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, would also confirm Tinubu’s directive on the vacation of the order.
Onanuga, in a separate post on his X handle, revealed that Tinubu had earlier today called Adeleke, informing him of his decision to direct the EFCC to lift the order and unfreeze the account.
