Ikeja Electric, has issued a public warning following reports of a fraudulent individual impersonating a relative of the company’s board Chairman, Dr. Kola Adesina,
In an official statement, the company stated that neither Ikeja Electric nor its Chairman has any connection with her.
The individual has been falsely identifying herself as “Bukola Adesina” and claiming to be Dr. Adesina’s sister.
According to the statement, the individual has been soliciting funds from unsuspecting customers and members of the public under false pretense.
“To Whom It May Concern,
“Ikeja Electric Plc. has been alerted to the fraudulent activities of an individual falsely representing herself as “Bukola Adesina” and claiming to be a sister to our Board Chairman, Dr Kola Adesina FNSE,MFR. This individual is soliciting funds from customers and members of the public under unlawful pretenses.
“We wish to categorically state that our Chairman, Dr. Kola Adesina and Ikeja Electric Pic, have no association whatsoever with this person.
“Such solicitations are entirely fraudulent and should be ignored and reported immediately to law enforcement agencies.
“We appreciate your cooperation and urge our customers and members of the public to remain vigilant against such scams.” The statement read.
