Donates 30 Campaign Buses to Party Officials
- Safiu Kehinde
Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has urged the All Progressives Congress leaders in the state to intensify grassroots mobilisation for President Bola Tinubu’s 100 per cent victory.
Uzodimma made the call on Saturday in Owerri while handing over 30 branded campaign buses to party officials for the 2027 Presidential Election campaign.
He directed the beneficiaries to deploy the vehicles strictly for party activities and grassroots mobilisation ahead of the forthcoming election.
The governor declared that “APC is Imo State and Imo State is APC”, saying massive sensitisation would soon begin across the state.
According to him, government reforms and the Renewed Hope Agenda have delivered tangible achievements, providing a strong basis for campaigning.
“I cannot deliver the President without you. We will come together and work together, so that together we will also win 100 per cent,” he said.
Uzodimma urged party officials to strengthen cooperation at ward and local government levels, warning that “the failure of one person is the failure of the party”.
He cited improvements in healthcare, including a robotic medical system and expanded health insurance coverage, as achievements of his administration.
He urged members to mobilise voters beyond partisan lines, saying, “let us come out en masse and vote for President Bola Tinubu without sentiments.”

Earlier, APC state Chairman, Chief Austin Onyedebelu, commended Uzodimma for providing the buses to strengthen grassroots mobilisation.
Onyedebelu said 27 buses were allocated to the 27 local government chairmen, while three were for other party officials.
He said the remaining buses would serve the zonal chairmen, state woman leader and state youth leader.
According to him, the fully branded vehicles would take APC’s message to the grassroots and demonstrate the party’s readiness.
He urged beneficiaries to use the buses strictly for party activities and cautioned them against removing the branding.
“This is very important to us. It carries the message to the people and lets them know that we are very serious,” he said.
Onyedebelu charged members to work for all APC candidates, from the presidency to the National and State Assemblies.
He called for unity and collective support for Uzodimma to ensure the party’s success across the state.
Also speaking, APC National Vice Chairman, South-East, Dr Ijeoma Arodiogbu, urged members to use the buses effectively.
Arodiogbu demanded corresponding commitment from party members, saying the governor’s support left no room for excuses.
“The more our governor has given to Imo APC, we cannot tolerate any excuses,” he said.
He urged party officials to deliver victory for APC candidates in the presidential, National Assembly and State Assembly elections.
“Every man must deliver his booth and his ward. Don’t come and give us excuses,” Arodiogbu warned.
He commended Uzodimma’s support for the party, describing him as “the strength of APC in the state”.
Recall that Uzodimma was on Friday named Secretary of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.
