Former Kano state governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso has felicitated with Super Eagles forward, Ademola Lookman, over winning CAF’s Player of the Year award.

The 2023 New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) Presidential candidate described Lookman’s dethronement of fellow Super Eagles’ teammate, Victor Osimhen, as CAF player of the year as a reflection of the strong showing our country’s athletes.
He also hailed Chiamaka Nnadozie for winning the Best Women’s Goalkeeper Prize.
“Congratulations to our Nigerian star, Ademola Lookman on emerging the CAF African Player of the Year 2024.
“Lookman had a great performance at the previous AFCON competition and is a reliable player for his team, Atalanta.
“The back to back victory for Nigeria in the CAF Men’s Category, after Victor Osimhen’s victory last year reflects the strong showing our country’s athletes put on their respective stages.
“I also send my felicitations to Chiamaka Nnadozie for winning the Best Women’s Goalkeeper Prize.” Kwankwaso wrote.
In the same vein, former Nigerian Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, hailed Lookman’s feat.
