It was goal galore at the Molineux Stadium as Noni Madueke scores first career hat trick in Chelsea’s 6-2 over Wolves today.
The Blues earned their first win of the season and under new manager, Enzo Maresca, with a stellar performance against Wolves.
After suffering 2-0 defeat to Manchester City in last week’s league opener, Chelsea travelled to Molineux Stadium in their first away game of the season.
The West London club were fired to an early lead as Nicholas Jackson’s two minutes header went past Wolves goalkeeper, José Sá.
Wolves managed to bring the game on level with Matheus Cunha’s 27th minutes equalizer.
Chelsea’s forward, Cole Palmer, put the Blues back on the lead in the 45th minute to bring the game to 2-1.
However, Wolves pulled another goal back to being the game to 2-2 before halftime whistle.
Second half would see Noni Madueke began the hunt for his first career hat trick as he doubled Chelsea’s lead in the 49th minute courtesy Cole Palmer’s assist.
Palmer again provided Madueke another goal scoring opportunity in the 59th minute which the England international nicely converted to bring the game to 4-2.
Madueke would complete his hat trick with another Palmer’s assist in the 63rd minute.
Meanwhile, Chelsea’s new signing, Joao Felix, was subbed in to replace Mykhalo Mudryk.
The Portuguese sealed the win for Chelsea with a fine finish to bring the game to 6-2.
