As the Local Government elections in Ogun State gets underway, the Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has cast his vote.
He cast his vote at Ward 3, Polling Unit 002, Ita Osanyin, Iperu in Ikenne Local Government Area.
“I have just cast my vote in the ongoing Local Government Election at Ward 3, Polling Unit 002, Ita Osanyin, Iperu, in Ikenne Local Government Area.”
He lauded the Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission for its readiness to conduct a free and fair election.
The governor said that there were little glitches with the logistics, but everything has been resolved and that election materials have reached every nook and cranny of the state.
“Let me first appreciate the OGSIEC for their level of preparedness and diligence to conduct free, fair, and credible polls.
“However, in any election, we can not rule out some logistics hiccups but by and large I have been informed that as of now, the election materials have reached every nook and cranny of the state and voting has commenced in earnest.”
He urged voters to maintain peace and orderliness so as to ensure a smooth electoral process.
”As voting continues across the state, I urge all voters to maintain peace and orderliness to ensure a smooth and seamless electoral process for everyone.”
