The Ogun State Police Command has nabbed a notorious kidnapper, Wasiu Oloyede, days after abducting a soldier in Lagos state.
As disclosed in a post shared on X, Oloyede, leader of a kidnapping gang, was apprehended by police at Odo Pako area of Ota on Sunday.
The gang had earlier on Friday kidnapped a soldier in Alagbado, Lagos, stealing his uniform, ID card, ATM cards, and phone.
However, the soldier reportedly managed to escape from his abductors.
Oloyede would be arrested after foiled attempt to use the stolen uniform to deceive and overpower a vigilante member in order to snatch his dane gun.
