Supporters and loyalists of former Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, have congratulated the ex-governor over his appointment as the interim National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The group, under the aegis of Omoluabi Progressives, congratulated Osun state people and Nigerians over Aregbesola’s emergence as ADC National Secretary.
Recall that the group was a factional part of the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) before it defected from the party alongside Aregbesola.
NPO earlier Reported the ex-Osun governor’s emergence as the interim National Secretary of ADC, a party now adopted by the coalition group of opposition politicians ahead of the 2027 Presidential election.
As quoted in a statement issued on Wednesday by its spokesperson, Abosede Oluwaseun, the Omoluabi Progressives’ Chairman, Isaa Azeez, described Aregbesola’s appointment as a new chapter in the journey toward a more people-centered, accountable, and visionary political leadership.
He maintained that ex-Osun governor’s political experience will bring renewed energy and direction to the ADC.
“This significant development marks a new chapter in the journey toward a more people-centered, accountable, and visionary political leadership in Nigeria,
“We believe that Ogbeni Aregbesola’s wealth of experience, proven dedication to progressive ideals, and tireless service to the people will bring renewed energy and direction to the ADC at the national level.” Isaa said.
The Omoluabi Progressives Chairman further called on all well-meaning Nigerians to come on board and prepare to vote in a new leadership.
The new leadership under the ADC will, according to him, uplift Osun state and improve the lives of all Nigerians.
Isaa urged those yet to register as voters in Osun to take advantage of the upcoming registration window created by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
“2026 is around the corner to usher in a new leadership, a leadership that will identify with the vision of lifting the working people out of poverty, improve security, bring much better infrastructural development into the State, banish hunger, and give a more glorified facelift to our State.
“Together, we can build a better, more prosperous nation rooted in justice, equity, and true democratic values,” he concluded.
