The ongoing 2026 Osun Governorship Election has become tense as frustrated voters challenged officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission over the malfunction of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System, BVAS, machine.
Tension reportedly brewed at the Polling Unit 009, Ward 2, Ede North Local Government Area on Saturday after hundreds of voters were left stranded over the BVAS machine malfunction at the polling unit.
Video shared on X showed some of the voters challenging the INEC officials who pleaded for calm.
Their plea however failed to move the aggrieved voters who alleged that only one BVAS machine was deployed to the polling unit despite having over 1000 registered voters.
