The Secretary to the Osun State Government (SSG), Teslim Igbalaye, has regained his freedom hours after being arrested by the police during raid on his residence.
Igbalayale was yesterday arrested alongside six others by operatives of Osun State Police Command.
The police cited alleged vote buying and habouring of a wanted criminal as reasons behind the SSG’s arrest.
He would however be released on Thursday after barely 24 hours in police custody.
This was announced by the spokesperson for the Imole Campaign Council, Pelumi Olajengbesi, who disclosed the development in a statement shared on his verified Facebook page.
Olajengbesi, in the thanked the Inspector-General of Police and the Osun State Commissioner of Police for what he described as responding to public calls for the SSG’s release.
