A former Vice Chairman of Oyo State’s chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Isiaka Alimi, has placed curse on governorship aspirant, Sharafa Alli, and whoever endorses him as the party’s candidate for the 2027 Oyo gubernatorial election.
Alimi declared former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, as the party’s preferred candidate for the election while raining curses on Alli’s camp.
While addressing a crowd of supporters on Saturday, the Oyo APC chieftain accused Alli of often abandoning the party leaders in times of trouble, adding that the aspirant has no record of success.
“If they adopt anyone there, they will be dismissed. Anybody making this plot won’t have peace in their family. They will become restless and struggle without achievement.
“We are following Adelabu and he will become our governor.
“He has wined and dined with Adelabu in the past. He is an unfortunate being. He has no record of success as he also ends up destroying things.
“Once he notices that things are going in disarray, he will desert you.” He said.
Alimi recalled how Alli had dumped them when they were together in a leaders’ forum after collecting money from aspirants.
He alleged that Alli and his cohorts had recently collected N200 million from the Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS), Dr. Zaach Adedeji.
“When we were together in Unity Forum, he left at a point in time, and we never saw him again. He went to collect money. Any money he collects this time; he will spend it on sickness.
“If he is someone who thinks, is it not Jenrade who died yesterday? Anybody can die anytime. They went to collect N200 million from Zaccheaus. They will use it to treat sickness.” He added.
The Oyo APC chieftain thereafter presented Adelabu as the preferred candidate for the APC ahead of the election.
