Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has appointed Oladega Ibrahim, popularly known as MC Ladega, as his Senior Special Assistant for Political Mobilisation.
It was gathered that Oladega’s appointment was announced in a letter signed by the Lagos Head of Service, Bode Agoro.
The new SSA’s appointment is reportedly slated to take effect from the 10th of April 2026 to the 21st of May 2027.
“I am pleased to convey the approval of Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Governor of Lagos State of your appointment as Senior Special Assistant (Political Mobilization and Strategy) to Mr. Governor with effect from 10th April, 2026 to 21 May, 2027. Please note that your Office will be at the Office of the Chief of Staff.
“In appointing you, the State Government expects you to demonstrate a high level of dedication, diligence and selflessness in the discharge of your duties to justify the confidence and trust reposed in you.” The letter allegedly signed by the Agoro partly read.
Also disclosed in the letter is Oladega’s emolument for his new role, which was pegged at N175,828 per month and accumulated to N9 million per annum, including all allowances.
The new aide to the state governor is directed to go for his asset declaration at the Code of Conduct Bureau to facilitate his documentation and subsequent upload of the Oracle Database.
“A copy of the Code of Conduct & Organisational Guidelines for Political Appointees in the Lagos State Public Service, which clearly highlights the expectations of Government in respect of this appointment, is herewith attached for your retention and strict adherence.
“Note that your appointment is conditional to your asset declaration at the Code of Conduct Bureau and presentation of acknowledgement slip at the Office of the Head of Service to facilitate your documentation and subsequent upload on the Oracle Database.
“Please acknowledge the receipt of this letter and indicate your acceptance of the appointment.” Agoro wrote further.
