Vice President Kashim Shettima has paid a condolence visit to former Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, over the death of his mother, Umma El-Rufai.
NPO Reported that the matriach passed away last week Friday in Cairo with her body repatriated to Nigeria on Saturday.
While she was laid to rest in Abuja, Shettima paid a visit to the El-Rufai family at their Abuja residence today.
The Vice President prayed for the repose of the soul of the late matriarch of the family while calling for collective effort in uniting the nation aside political differences.
He was received by the ex-Kaduna governor with former Governor of Bauchi State, Ahmad Adamu Muazu; and former Chief of Army Staff, General Abdurrahman Dambazau, also present.
Also present during the Vice President’s condolence visit is El-Rufai son and House of Representatives member representing Kaduna North, Bello El-Rufai, and his brother, Bashir El-Rufai.
