The presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on Sunday announced that his vice presidential placeholder Alhaji Ibrahim Kabir Masari has withdrawn from the race.
Tinubu made the announcement in Daura where he also informed President Muhammadu Buhari of his choice of a replacement in the person of former Governor of Borno State, Kashim Shetima.
NPO Reported earlier that Tinubu was gong to pick Shetima and that he would make the choice known to the President during his Sallah visitation to Daura.
When asked by newsmen who is his running mate, Tinubu simply responded “Kashim Shetima.”
