Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, has reacted to critics of her deliverance session captured in a viral video.
NPO Reported that the actress had yesterday shared a video of her holding a deliverance session for a female student alleged to be under the influence of marine spirits.
Dikeh, in the post on her Instagram handle, recounted how the girl had approached her after an evangelical outreach at her school.
The girl told the actress that she always sees bats around her.
Dikeh would alongside her team embarked on the deliverance session with the actress seen commanding the perceived spirits out of the girl.
Another clip then showed Dikeh holding the girl’s head while other members of the team pin her down to the floor as she shuddered under the grip of the actress.
This had sparked mixed reactions from netizens with some expressing their disbelief while others faulting the actress.
Reacting in a post shared on her Instagram handle on Saturday, Dikeh debunked claims of staging the session as she maintained that it was purely God’s act.
The actress further defended her claim with a scripture from the Bible
“God alone did itπππmay His name forever be praised.
“What we witnessed was not by our strength, wisdom, or planning.
“It was purely the hand of God moving among His children. Our hearts are filled with gratitude because when God leads, He confirms His word with undeniable fruit.
βNot by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,β says the Lord Almighty. β Zechariah 4:6” She wrote.
Dikeh expressed her gratitude to Jesus Christ for the lives touched during the outreach.
“Thank You, Jesus, for allowing us to be vessels in Your service. Thank You for every life touched, every child reached, and every heart turned toward You.
βOh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.β β Psalm 107:1
“All the glory belongs to You, Lord” She added.
