Controversial Nigerian singer, Habib Okikola, popularly known as Portable, has opened up on his defeat to Nollywood actor, Charles Okocha, at their celebrity boxing rematch.
NPO Reported Charles Okocha had emerged winner of the bout held on Friday night at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos.
The Nollywood actor was declared winner in a fight which barely lasted one round.
The bout descended into chaos as both men grappled in the ring before security intervened.
Video shared on X showed Portable pinning Charles Okocha to the ground in the grapple.
Efforts by the referee to free both men proved abortive, forcing the officials to ring the bell.
Portable, in annoyance, walked out of the ring which further affirmed his disqualification and gifted Charles Okocha the win.
Reacting hours after the fight, the singer in a video posted on X claimed to have walked off the ring after being alleged bitten and choked by Charles Okocha.
Portable talked down on the organisers of the fight as he claimed being the decider of who he fights with.
“Did they tell me that I will be choked or bittten? That is why I said I’m not fighting again. I’m a star. He bit me at the back.
“I’m a musician and there is money in music. I’m okay with my music.
“Boxing is an overreach. If I get 10 bookings, it has covered what you will be pay me fro boxing.
“I am your brand. Na me dey promote you. I’m the one choosing who I want to fight with. I said you should come and tap from my source of income and you bite me.” He said.
Portable also accused the organisers of failing to fulfil their promise of training him in London.
“I told them in the document signed before this fight that I need to train very well. You promised to train me in London. Why is it just my opponent that you trained in London.” He said.
