The re-elected Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, has reaffirmed his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s bid for a second term in the 2027 presidential election.
Adeleke made the declaration while expressing appreciation to the President for the conduct of a free and fair governorship election in Osun State.
The governor said he was grateful to Tinubu for allowing the electoral process to run without interference, following his re-election.
“I must deeply appreciate the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for a free and fair election,” Adeleke said.
He subsequently reaffirmed his earlier endorsement of Tinubu for the 2027 presidential election, maintaining his support for the President’s bid to secure another four-year term.
“The president is a son of Osun state, and I hereby reaffirm my earlier endorsement of him for a second term in the 2027 presidential election, Adeleke said.
The endorsement came shortly after Adeleke was declared winner of the Osun governorship election, securing another term in office with a total of 511,067 votes.
NPO Reports recalls that Tinubu had congratulated him on his re-election, stating that his victory is an assurance that democracy would continue to flourish in Nigeria.
Tinubu had urged Adeleke to use his renewed mandate to unite the people of Osun State and focus on growth, stability and socio-economic development, regardless of how residents voted in the election.
Adeleke’s victory secured him another four years as governor of Osun State, following his success at the polls.
