Third Coronavirus Case Confirmed In Lagos
The Lagos State Ministry of Health has confirmed that there is yet another case of the ravaging coronavirus in Lagos, Nigeria.
The patient is said to be an independent case not connected with the index case.
The carrier, a 30-year-old Nigerian female who returned from the United Kingdom.
The Commissioner for Health Prof Amin Abayomi said the patient has been isolated at the state’s facility in Yaba adding that there are efforts to trace all those who were in the same
flight with her.
“She is now in isolation and receiving care at Mainland Hospital, Yaba.
Contacts tracing of all passengers and those who may have had body contact with this latest case has commenced.” he tweeted.
He also asked all those who boarded the flight to remain in isolation for 14 days while advising them to call the designated numbers for assistance.
“If you are a passenger on flight BA 75 that arrived in Lagos on 13th March, 2020, stay at home and isolate yourself for 14 days.
