We Don’t Want Police Again in Isan-Ekiti; They Say
Some youths in Isan Ekiti late Friday night attacked a police station in the town vandalising the station and setting it ablaze.
NPO Reports could not immediately confirm the reason for the attacks, a video of the incident which was posted online by social media influencer Isaac Fayose showed the irate youths approaching the police station with various objects which they used to vandalize the police station.
”We don’t want police station again in Isan Ekiti,” the youths kept saying to in the video.
NPO Reports that the incident happened on the eve of the June 20 governorship election holding across Ekiti state today.
It could not be ascertained if the violence was in connection with the election scheduled to hold today.
