Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemates, Oyin and Flora, have dragged fans following the latest eviction night, saying the reality show is not as easy as many people think and challenging critics to step into the house if they believe they can do better.
The housemates made the remarks during a conversation captured on the show’s live feed after the eviction show.
NPO Reported that Aikou and Flora emerged as the first housemates to receive the “The Gambit” twist in this season in the eviction show that took place on Sunday.
The twist earned them automatic spots in the grand finale but forfeiting their chance to win the show’s N160m grand prize.
Reacting to the developments, Oyin and Flora opened up about the physical and emotional demands of staying in the house, while challenging critics to experience it firsthand before passing judgment.
Oyin said she was no longer bothered by public opinion, stressing that those criticising housemates should try living in the house themselves.
“I don’t care about what people feel. Anybody that is feeling anyhow should come in here and do what I am doing because I no get strength, abeg.
“Make them come inside con do am if e easy. It’s not easy.
“Everything wey I dey do, I no dey think about myself. I dey think about people wey dey outside. Make people outside think about me too,” she said.
Flora also defended her efforts in the competition, saying she had given her best despite the challenges.
According to her, she had already told her family that if her performance was not enough to make them proud, they should simply apply to be contestants next season.
“I don tell my family say if this one no make them proud, make dem go apply next year.
“I no fit do pass myself. Na the wetin dey keep me going.
“E easy? I go wake up for morning, dem go ring bell, I go run go gym. First time wey I dey gym, all my body dey pain me. Dem say it’s not enough.
“Next week, I have to put in more effort make dem no punish me. Then you go come talk say Flora is not doing well.
“Come here. Apply whether dem go pick you,” Flora said.
During the eviction show, Flora secured the female Gambit position with 29.38 per cent of the votes, while Aikou emerged as the male Gambit after polling 9.10 per cent. Ricky followed with 7.30 per cent, while Abi garnered 6.07 per cent.
