In what appears to be another in the series of alignment ahead of 2023 general elections, the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi has met the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesome Wike.
At the meeting which held at the PortHarcourt Rivers State Government House were also Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, former Governor of Ondo State, Olusegun Mimiko.
Also at the meeting was the former Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Mohammed Adoke, former Governor of Cross River, Donald Duke, Governor Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, Gombe State ex-governor, Ibrahim Dankwambo; and a few others.
While sharing a photo of the meeting on his twitter page, Mimiko said it was nice to spend time with the company in Rivers State.
Details of their discussions were not made known yet at the time of filing this report.
Many analysts however reason the meeting could not have been far from issues relating to alignments over the 2023 elections.
Currently, Wike is locked in a battle with the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
Ortom backs Wike over the issues he has raised within the party.
