President Muhammadu Buhari will make a national broadcast to Nigerians on Thursday (today) at 7am.
This was disclosed in a press release late Wednesday by the Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, Femi Adesina.
“Television, radio stations and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and Radio Nigeria for the broadcast,” the statement read
The president’s speech is coming amidst tension across the country over complications created by the new Naira notes and the deadline which has left millions of Nigerians stranded.
There have been protests in many parts of the country such as Oyo, Edo, Ondo, Abuja, Kaduna and Delta. Many banks have been vandalised while some killings have been recorded.
