Diction and Public Speaking Coach, Oludolapo Adewale, has been nominated for the Best Spoken Word Record in the Spoken Word Category.
The nomination is I n the inaugural edition of the African Podcast and Voice (APVA) awards by Afripods.
This was contained in a communique made available to NPO Reports on Wednesday.
This year’s award themed: “King of The Game,” is aimed at celebrating the resilience, creativity, and leadership of African audio creatives.
“Oludolapo Adewale embodies the resilience, creativity, and leadership that we celebrate with this year’s theme, ‘King of The Game,’” said Bidemi Adedire, Founder of APVA. “Their work is a testament to the power of African voices to shape our world.”
Adewale is a media and communications professional with top-notch experience in diction coaching, presentation, production, voiceovers, content creation, script and speech writing.
She was a Correspondent with the Nigeria Politics Online (now NPO Reports.
She is a bilingual voiceover and spoken word artiste and has voiced for organisations such as 9Mobile, Wakanow, SuperSport, Olam Agri, Women Radio, among others.
As a diction coach, she has trained 500+ pupils in different schools, 70+ teachers, 500+ in group diction sessions including WEMA Bank PLC’s Marketing and Communications team.
She has also handled more than 12 executive one-to-one masterclasses, trained various church groups and many budding Radio/TV presenters.
As a Master of Ceremony, Oludolapo anchors events with a professional touch. She has anchored events such as the Lagos State Spelling Bee and various events across Nigeria.
In 2016, she won the Outstanding Presenter award in the Southwest region (morning ride) at the Nigerian Broadcasters Merit Awards.
She is a graduate of LAUTECH Ogbomoso with a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering. She also has a certificate and a diploma in Public relations from the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.
She holds a TESOL certification to teach English in all countries of the world. She is passionate about helping younger females grow in the media, hence a group she created, Media Girls Nigeria where valuable career resources are shared.
As a nominee, Oludolapo Adewale is also eligible to win an APVA Award, which is voted online by fans and scored by seasoned Judges across the continent
Winners will be announced on Saturday, September 28, 2024.
