Thousands of commuters are currently stranded in heavy traffic along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The gridlock had since stretched into long backlog across the Lagos capital city, Ikeja, and Berger xis of the state.
NPO Reports observed standstill along Wempco Road and Lateef Jakande Road as at 6:30pm.
This had forced some of the commuters to abandon their vehicles and trek the distance to their various destinations.
According to a post shared by a Facebook user, the gridlock was caused by the ongoing road repair along Kara Bridge.
Also compounding the woes of motorists is a multiple accident along the axis of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
