A daredevil couple on Wednesday took to a new height to express love for themselves and the world in general as they reached the topmost part of the Empire State Building in New York City.
There are reports that the two have been taken into custody by the authorities.
The couple, said to be Angela Nikolau and Ivan Beerkus and of Russian origin, unveil a peace campaign banner with the inscription “When the power of love beats the love of power, the world knows peace.”
The two , after displaying their banner, came down to a lower platform, after which Beerkus went down on his knee and proposed to Nikolau .
She was believed to have said “Yes!
Reports say that both Nikolau and Beerkus had featured in a 2024 Netflix documentary Skywalkers: A Love Story.
The two had reportedly traversed the top of the world’s second-highest skyscraper.
All eyes had been on the couple on Wednesday even as a helicopter pilot and the New York’s La Guada airport’s control tower exchanged conversations over the act of the two seen more than 1,454 feet in the air.
