Former Osun State Commissioner for Education, Folorunsho Bamisayemi, has confirmed his resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Bamisayemi however left the reasons behind his resignation undisclosed, stressing that he will make them known to the public in due time.
The ex-commissioner who served under the administration of former Osun governor, Gboyega Oyetola, stated this in a text message when contacted by NPO Reports for confirmation of his resignation from the APC.
He said he intend to remain silent over the development at the moment.
“Yes, it is true that I have resigned from the APC. The reasons will be made public soon.
“Please bear with me as I intend to remain silent while ruminating on the way forward. Thanks.” Bamisayemi said.
NPO Reported that the ex-commissioner had yesterday announced his withdrawal from the APC in a letter written to his Ward Chairman in Kere Ward 09, Ife South Local Government Area of the state.
As contained in the letter dated 1st of June 2026, the former House of Assembly member declared that his resignation from the APC takes immediate effect.
“I hereby resign my membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Please note that the resignation takes immediate effect.” The letter read.
Bamisayemi also extended the letter to the Ife South council chairman, Gbenga Oladokun.
