Controversial Nigerian journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, has raised questions over the rescue operation that led to the release of the kidnapped students and teachers at Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
NPO Reported that students and teachers abducted on the 15th of May, 2026, were on Friday evening rescued after 56 days in captivity.
The rescue had sparked wild celebration across the country with many Nigerians taking to their social media handles to celebrate the development.
While also sharing the video of the released kidnap victims, Olunloyo, in a post on her X handle, however queried the rescue as she claimed it was a fraud.
The controversial journalist alleged that there was no security operation.
She accused the government of lying, alleging that the victims were only handed back to the state governor, Seyi Makinde, after pressure.
“Focus on the bigger picture and think outside the box🧠
“Many questions on OriireLG Oyo state🇳🇬video and photos. There was no security operation whatsoever.
“The government is lying to you. You are already brainwashed.
“They simply handed them back to Makinde under pressure transferred from the north back to the south.” She wrote.
Olunloyo questioned the total number of the victims seen in the video which, according to her, only captured 29 people instead of 44.
She also questioned the principal’s speech which she claimed to have been rehearsed with Tinubu receiving the accolades and not Makinde.
Olunoyo further asked why the children were not allowed to talk as well as the whereabout of the arrested kidnappers.
“Why are 29 people in the pictures instead of 44 gathered that 2 were killed?
“Why is the principal thanking Tinubu and security agencies but not the governor Makinde AND NIGERIANS?
“Why did the President never call the governor?
“Where are all their school uniforms?
“Why is the principal’s speech rehearsed?
“Why were biscuits distributed to distract the kids not to talk about where they were?
“Why are the arrested terrorists not paraded? Oriire na water💦 😏😏😏” She wrote.
