There was mild tension was at Ward 8, Unit 11, beside Oloyede Motors, Obelawo, in Olorunda Local Government Area of Osun State, on Saturday as voters alleged that some persons believed to be supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) arrived at the polling unit with bundles of cash.
The development reportedly raised concerns among voters at the polling unit, with some alleging that the money was intended to induce voters during the ongoing governorship election.
The presence of the individuals and the alleged cash distribution created tension as the voting process continued.
Some voters expressed concern over the conduct of security personnel at the polling unit, alleging that the operatives failed to adequately intervene in the situation.
The incident comes amid heightened concerns over alleged vote-buying and voter inducement as voters across Osun State elect the next governor.
