The Osun State Police Command has reiterated ongoing investigation on the murder of Olalekan Oyeyemi, stressing that everyone accused of being in the killing of the state governor’s aide are under the command’s watchlist.
NPO Reported that Olalekan, popularly known as Emir Ajagungbade, was on Sunday shot dead at Mayfair Motor Park in Ile-Ife.
The aide was murdered in a clash linked to the Osun State Chapter’s National Union of Road Transport, NURTW, chairmanship dispute between him and the former chairman of the union, Nurudeen Arowonle.
After confirming the incident, the Osun police disclosed commencement of investigation while vowing to bring all the perpetrators to justice.
Meanwhile, Alowonle and his gang had strongly been accused of being responsible for the attack and murder.
The ex-Osun NURTW chairman had however denied involvement in the killing in a video posted on Facebook on Sunday evening.
When contacted on update on the case, the Osun Police spokesperson, DSP Abiodun Ojelabi, told NPO Reports correspondent said no arrest has been made.
Ojelabi however disclosed that Alowonle and other mentioned to the be responsible for the murder are currently under the police watchlist.
