Nigerian afrobeats star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has charged other Nigerian governors to learn from the election victory of his uncle and Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke.

Speaking on the election held on Saturday, Davido admitted that Adeleke’s re-election was a hard fought victory, considering the level of federal might deployed by the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“It was a well-deserved, hardfought battle. In fact let me not use battle. It was war.
“When you have 17 governors, 15 senators and House of Reps members against one man and he came out victorious, God is good.” He said.
Davido dedicated the victory to Osun people who stood their ground and ensure their votes counted.
The OBO crooner said the support enjoyed by Adeleke was borne out of the governor’s good works to the people which he claimed is worth emulating by other governors.
“To the Osun people that not only voted for us but stood their ground and defended their votes from polling units to the coalition centre, the love was amazing.
“My uncle, the governor, should be an example to all other public officials out there and governors.
“He shows that if you work well for the people, the people will work well with you.
“They used everything they could have used and it didn’t work because of he people.” He said.
