The Osun All Progressives Congress’ Governorship Candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, has debunked being stooge to the former governor of the state, Gboyega Oyetola.
Oyebamiji made this known during his address at the Town Hall panel discussion hosted by Arise TV on Tuesday in Osogbo.
The APC candidate debunked the allegation melted against him by the incumbent governor, Ademola Adeleke, stressing that he has independent candidate who had widely consulted across the state without any interference from Oyebamiji.
‘Most of his answers are not true.
‘If you know Oyetola very well, he allows you to do your bidding. He is s structured man, intelligent, and articulate.
‘He is not someone that poke nose into your affairs.
‘I have visited 31 the councils three times. and nobody has ever done that.
‘I consulted party members on whether we are taking over the government or not and the response was overwhelming that we need to take over from this administration that is doing nothing to promote and enhance the development of the economic sectors of our state.
‘I went round again to inaugurate 30 canvassers. They were charged and it was illuminating that our people are ready to take over government from the dancing governor
‘I had to go again to consult with the Kabieyesis, Iyalojas, Babalojas, and artisans.
‘Their response indicated that Osun are ready for a change.’ He said.
Oyebamiji also debunked dependency on Federal might as he reiterated that his candidacy had widely been endorsed by stakeholders across different sectors.
‘This is not by national power. It is by the people.
‘In the last two months, I have been endorsed by 42 sectors and groups, the private enterprise.
‘Even the civil service endorsed the Bola Oyebamiji’s candidacy.
‘I want to him to go and bury the idea. It is because they are jittery.’ He said.
