Former Osun State governor and current Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola, has cleared the votes at his polling unit for the All Progressives Congress candidate at the ongoing 2026 Osun Governorship Election, Bola Oyebamiji.
Oyetola secured his polling unit for Oyebamiji with a massive 245 votes, leaving nothing for the incumbent governor and Accord Party’s candidate, Ademola Adeleke, who recorded zero votes.
The African Democratic Congress, on their part, managed to secure five votes at the poll.
While Oyetola’s clearance of votes at his polling unit can be considered a revenge against Adeleke who defeated him at the 2022 election, the Osun APC chieftain however needs more than a single unit win to defeat Adeleke on the larger scale as the incumbent governor is coasting home victory at other polling units.
