Controversial Nigerian musician, Habib Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has won a consolation prize as he announced giving birth to a new baby after losing the celebrity boxing match against streamer, Oderhowho Efe (Carter Efe).
NPO earlier Reported that Portable had on Friday night suffered defeat in the hand of Carter Efe who dethroned him as the celebrity boxing champion at the Chaos in the Ring 4 event held at the Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The controversial singer loss by a unanimous decision which declared Carter Efe the winner with all three judges scoring 30-27 in Carter Efe’s favour.
This ended Portable’s unbeaten run and stripping him of his status as celebrity boxing king.
Reacting few hours after the fight, Portable announced the birth of his new son in a video shared on X on Saturday.
He disclosed that his wife was in labour as at the time he walked into the ring to fight Carter Efe.
While describing the child’s birth a consolation prize worth more than the boxing belt, Portable who spoke in Yoruba accused the organisers of the boxing match of bias and cheat.
“You didn’t know you cheated right? I’ve given birth anyways. Congratulations to me. I thought I would be dancing with the belt but now I’m dancing with a baby in my hands.
“You can use money to buy a belt but you can’t buy a child with money.
“I fought with you and still took the glory. I also defeated people in the past but you guys cheated this time.” He said.
The Zazzu crooner further slammed Carter Efe, accusing him of brawling with him on the ring while he was throwing punches.
He also accused the judges of not counting his punches while demanding N200 million in streaming royalty from the event organsiers.
“Carter Efe was brawling with me. Can’t you see how he choked me with his long hands?
“He was brawling while I was throwing punches. Didn’t you count all my punches.
“All punch I throw regardless of where it touched ought to be counted.
“You didn’t count them and that is cheating. And for the host of the match, you must pay me N200 million for my streaming. Give me my money if you don’t want trouble.” He added.
