Nigerian human rights activist, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has led protesters to the Ministry of Defence Headquarters in continuation of the protest against insecurity and kidnappings in country.
The protesters comprising of the Ratel Movement members and other activists stormed the ministry complex on Thursday morning as the resumed their demonstration which commenced yesterday on arrival of VeryDarkMan.
NPO Reported that the activist had yesterday evening landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport following the end of his trip to Turkey.
He was received by the protesters who waited for his arrival at the airport before proceeding with the protest.
While they had last night stormed the Nigeria Air Force Headquarters, VDM led the protesters to the Ministry of Defence Headquarters on Thursday.
Videos from the demonstration showed the activist challenging the armed security personnel who were deployed to restrain the protesters from further advancement into the headquarters.
Addressing the personnel, VDM charged the Defence Ministry to deploy them to the bush were the kidnappers and terrorists are.
“Na only here una dey do formation. This is how I want you all to go to the bush.” He said.
The protesters re-echoed VDM’s call for the deployment of the personnel to bush as they demanded an end to kidnapping and insecurity in the country.
Some also called for the removal of President Bola Tinubu from office as they could be heard chanting ‘Tinubu, APC must go’.
