The senator representing the Osun East Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi, has told members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ilesa and its environs to kill any member of the Accord Party sighted anywhere they are found ahead of the Saturday August 15 governorship election in the state.
Fadahunsi, a two-term senator, said he does not want to see any member of the Accord Party anywhere in Ilesa and its environs ahead of the Saturday poll. NPO Reports that Fadahunsi’s threat comes amidst growing concerns over violence in the coming election.
Addressing group of APC supporters in Yoruba, the lawmaker, in the video, expressed frustration of the past killings of in the state ahead of the August 15 governorship election.
He accused the Accord Party of being responsible for the killings of the victims he claimed were APC members.
Unbothered with being recorded, Fadahunsi charged the APC supporters to retaliate by eliminating any member of the Accord Party they see till the end of the election.
‘If we hear of any Accord in Ilesa… How many people have you heard were killed by APC.
‘Are those murdered victims not our people. We are here to tell you that until the day of election, kill them anywhere you see them.’ He said.
This had since raised fresh concern over imminent violence at the August 15 poll as netizens react to the threat by the lawmaker.
