The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has reduced its presidential nomination form fee to N90 million and released a revised timetable for its 2026 primary elections.
The party had initially pegged the presidential nomination form at N100 million before the latest review.
In a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, said the decision followed extensive consultations with party leaders, aspirants, and stakeholders nationwide.
Under the new fee structure, the presidential nomination form now costs N90 million. Governorship forms are set at N30 million, Senate at N10 million, House of Representatives at N5 million, and State Assembly at N2 million.
The party also retained its concession policy, offering a 50 percent discount to youths aged 18 to 35, and a 25 percent reduction for women and persons with disabilities, in a move aimed at boosting inclusiveness.
According to the revised timetable, the sale of nomination forms will take place from May 1 to May 4, while submission of completed forms is scheduled for May 6 to May 13.
Screening of aspirants will be conducted between May 14 and May 15, with results expected on May 17. Appeals will follow from May 18 to May 19, while the final list of cleared aspirants will be published on May 20.
The timetable shows that State Assembly, House of Representatives, and Senate primaries are slated for May 21, with governorship primaries to hold on May 22. The presidential primary election is scheduled for May 23.
Subsequently, the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting will take place on May 25, followed by a Special National Convention on May 26, 2026.
Abdullahi said the adjustments reflect efforts to strengthen internal democracy, improve inclusiveness, and expand access for aspirants within the party.
He urged all aspirants and stakeholders to strictly adhere to the revised guidelines and timetable as preparations intensify for the 2027 polls.
